End of the School year gifts for kindergarten

I made 2 seperate things for my daughter's class. My daughter's schools mascot is an owl, so I can not pass these things up..

These are the cutest little things! I got mini hershey chocolate bars and wrapped them with these. My only issue is passing them out to the other children- due to food allergies with peanuts. They had Mr. Goodbars in the mix. So I told my daughter to make sure to let the parents and the other students that they may contain peanuts. It all depends on what you grab, but you can not see it. I found these cute printable here:

The main gift was not this, it was sticking with the whole teacher appreciation S'more idea...

I had found one with kindergarten on it & then when I went to print it up, I could not find it. So I had to make my own and add it to the other one I printed up.
Lollipops & Paper Blog had the initial idea, but when I went to print it up I could not find the Kindergarten. I just am lame and could not see it..
On her blog it seemed like she could make more than I could.. I used the stackable marshmallows, which is the greatest idea! I put one small Hershey bar, 2 stackable marshmallows, 1 graham cracker..
I wish I had more time to go out and get the sheets that are labels, they would have looked alot cleaner than this. I used tape and regular paper.. It did the job. We got to her class and added it to everyone's cubby. She is in a class of 1st graders and kindergarten, so I only did the amount for kindergarten that is in her class and the rest were left the way it was.
A couple of moms were still hanging out and were asking what are those, one mom was really impressed.. It was nice.
It makes me feel good that I can still squeeze in some little things like this for the girls.
Next up is Hailey's- her last day is on the 8th of June. This ideas ROCKS!!

A Thank You from a teacher

SO, I have to say I got a thank you card from Hailey's teacher.. Very nice! She said that we were very thoughtful & she appreciates students like her! How cute & thoughtful that was.
What I did not tell you, is that Hailey had already told me that she thought her teacher was mean.. She was really strict. Oppss.. Nothing like a little kiss butt to change her mind! The funny thing about that is, I had made up the S'more thing already & told Hailey she did not have to give it to her teacher, I can use it later.. But, Hailey still wanted to do it.
Makes me feel good that she sent that and that she recognized.
Danika's teacher did not do that. She did say thank you in person. I am that type of person that can not do one thing for my daughter and not include my bonus child.. Especially if we have them on the same day. That just isn't right..

Next up this week and next week, will be end of school year gifts for their classmates..
Then for the Summer time, our family projects: organizing their room, organizing the office,
putting together things to do with the kids: like glow in the dark slime, rock candy, camping, painting shirts and backpacks.. What fun!!

Executive Homemaker Binder

Since I made a homework binder for my friend, I decided to make an executive binder for myself. Somewhere I can put everything & it is in one spot. Since, I only have 1 child to keep track of homework, one huge binder for that would be ridiculous. I got the main idea from: www.ExecutiveHomemaker.com
But, I broke mine up into several different ideas that I had gotten off TipJunkie..

You make what dividers fit your life.. And this is what fits mine
So I have To*Do's, Menu w/ Grocery, Danika's school, Personal & Bday's, Cleaning..

I have a calendar, I have my daughters
Summer Camp info, her recital info,
I have a pantry & Freezer Inventory check list for Grocery Shopping. My Grocery Shopping list is in the pocket in front.
I  LOVE to do list, so I have a couple different ones, but I mainly use the Running To Do list in purple!

You can print any of the following up, I will give you the links:

PANTRY INVENTORY
FREEZER INVENTORY
RUNNING TO DO LIST
WHAT'S FOR DINNER
ONLINE DEALS PURCHASED

Back 2 School Mom's Binder

I know what you are thinking: wait, school is almost out and give me some time to get over the summer plans. But, I actually wanted to do this for my girlfriend who has 4 girls & school starts for my daughter on August 15th this year..  I got this idea when scrolling through TipJunki.org.. and found this blog:

MOMMY'S HOMEWORK EDITION
Back 2 School Binder

I made this up for you after I saw it in a blog. I thought it could help you stay organized.
Inside are clear-view files labeled with each kiddo!  In these folders you can keep “important” things!
Things you will need to refer to later. Don’t clutter the book with the “work” or “art” your kids bring home, I am sure you store that some place else (wink, wink).  This is a binder so that you can stay on top of things, like stuff you need to sigh, stuff you need to remember, stuff you KNOW you’ll be looking at later!
“Important” things are:
~Classroom policies
~Schedules
~Grading matrix for upcoming projects
~Book report schedules
~Lunch account deposit slips
~Etc..

There is one file with ME on it and that is for you. This is for if you volunteer to help in a classroom or parent organization..

Teacher Appreciation

So, Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day- I was hoping to do something everyday, but not going to happen. The one big thing I wanted to do, I did get done this morning & so I am relieved. I found several ideas on line, which I will give credit where it credit is due.. I found the below idea on

I had started buying some of the things & then honestly time flew by & before I knew it, it is May.  Where did the time go? There are so many variations to this.. I am grateful that I have a craft area in my house and was able to just grab ribbon & the right color paper to match. So, lots of ideas that you can do here..
I have post it paperclips, large & mini binderclips (2 different colors), Gum, push pins, brads, white out, glue stick, rubberbands, post it tabs and finally york peppermint patties... the one thing I am so disappointed in, I forgot to take a picture of the note Danika (my daughter) wrote that I double stick taped to the inside of the box. It said in Danika's writing: "Mrs. Manske, I love you. You are the #1 teacher. You are the best. Love from Danika".. Yes, that is word for word!
On eighteen25 blog, she had hand sanitizer & most of all the colors matched..lol
When Danika handed this to Mrs. Manske, her teacher was so shocked and very happy. Which made me happy, she was almost afraid to open it. I had to tell her that there was a note inside from Danika. I did not see anyone else bring something in for her. Teachers work hard & they use their own money at times to help our kids out. The least I can do, is make a gift for her.. I plan on doing something else on Friday for her as well.
The next thing I did, I threw together so that my "bonus" child could have something for her teacher. I had to stop on the way to school to get the candy bar though.. i actually plan on doing this for Danika on Thursday.

Now, keep in mind since I threw it together- the candy bar is huge, it is suppose to be a little smaller and the bag is suppose to be smaller so that the tag would fit nicely. But, I am ok with the way it looks. The funny thing about all this is that my "bonus" daughter said, "I did not get a notice that it is teacher appreciation day".. LOL

So, on Thursday May 10th- I gave Mrs. Manske (Danika's teacher the same thing my bonus daughter gave her teacher). This time I took a little bit of time, because I was thinking ahead and looked for a cute cello bag that I had..

Mrs. Manske really liked it.. I noticed thought that I a lot of parents hadn't contributed.. That is ok.
I have finally been getting all my things organized in my house. It feels good to do something nice and to give to someone who has an influence on my daughter.

The final & Last day of Teacher Appreciation Week:
Today is Friday & I had seen a cute idea online & could not pass it up. I got this idea off

I found these plants at Lowe's, they were only $6 each. I love them! I actually should have bought a couple for myself. They actually would be cute Mother's Day ideas also..
The big news is that Danika had a substitute today! Boooooo

Thank you Skip to my Lou, for all your wonderful ideas!!

Menu Board

Here is my thought on this: I wouldn't know what I was making for dinner on a daily basis. That means we would probably have the same thing over and over again. I might pick 1 thing on 1 day and that is it. So, after picking my daughter up from a friends house & realizing that her husband is always changing it up for dinner.  I thought to myself, I am boring & need to be more prepared! About the same time, my boyfriend said something along the same lines.. Got to love it and embrace it!
One of my ultimate favorite sites is: TipJunkie and I get a lot of great ideas from this site! So this idea is a combination of 2 bloggers & for the life of me, I can not find them. I have been looking for 45 minutes.
The best thing about this is that I can change the background of my picture frame. I bought stickers at the craft store and put them on myself with a ruler.. I write with a dry erase marker what is for dinner. 2 things I love about this, one I can shop for 2 weeks and know what we are having and mix it up- win! win! Everyone is happy. The second thing I loved about this, is that my friend had bought a frame that came in a package of 2 & she did not want the 2nd one! I never use to be so frugal, but I am now & I also embrace that! I also made a pocket for 3x5 cards to add to my frame, but have not done that yet. This way you keep your recipes right next to the menu board and you do not have to look for it. It is ready to go!

Next week, I will be looking at Teacher Appreciation week. I have so many ideas & really would LOVE to implement them all, but realistically I am shooting to do at least 2 of them!
